Moulded brown hair, blue sleep eyes with lashes (missing on right eye, short length on left), open mouth with 2 teeth.  Non-working mama in body at back.  Paint cracks around both eyes with crazing on face, has all fingers but is missing paint.  Composition needs repairs.

Marks: Head - Armand Marseille1 (half circle) / German / 390 / A 6 1/2 M

Replacement ringlet wig, sleep brown eyes (no lashes), open mouth with 4 teeth.  Jointed composition body, arms and legs. (fingers missing on right hand, bandaging on upper left arm, crack in right foot.  Unable to remove all clothes due to petticoat being stitched close.  Replacement clothes, shoes, socks.

Bisque head made in Germany by AM Armand Mersaille (marks: A.M. other marks but hard to access) blue sleep glass eyes, open mouth. Celluloid arms and legs (marks Made in Japan) some cracks and seam breaks and needs restringing. Cloth body made in Australia by Vera Kent when working for Laurie Cohen (no ID marks) has staining around the non-working mama. A restoration opportunity.

16" (41cm) German Composition or Papier Mache Doll

Blonde mohair wig under hat, blue sleep eyes (don't close very well) with rooted lashes, closed mouth.  Paint missing on right check where wig has lifted.  Paint lifting from leg especially right one.  No-working mama in composition stomach.  Lots of paint has cracked or lifted off back - restoration challenge!  Red shoes.

Marks: Between wings circle with H.C.? / Nippon

Dolls had the "Nippon" mark for goods imported into the United States from 1891 to 1921. .After 1921, the marking was changed to "Japan" because American officials ruled that "Nippon" was not an English word, as required by law. (based on Google AI online explanation)
