Books, Publications and Printed Information
These items have been our reference material purchased from many sources and used over the past 50 years during our collecting and 25 years plus of operating our museum displays. Most of the books are about dolls or about the history of fashion and/or costume over the years. Some have personal signatures when purchased directly from the author.
Where possible, we have listed items by the name of the author(s) or editor(s) in alphabetical order. We have included Publishers' information and date of release when known. We have indicated whether the publication's illustrations and photographs are all in black and white, or with only a few coloured pages or is predominantly in full colour. We have also indicated whether the item has a solid hard cover, or has a soft cover or a paperback presentation which is a smaller soft cover item. We have also listed whether the item has a dust jacket which is usually in good condition unless stated otherwise. Please note that any of the books that give advice on prices will have information that is out-of-date.
Unless otherwise indicated, there is only one copy of the listed item, so the principle of 'first in, best dressed' applies. Please note that many of the books are large with many pages and could be expensive to post. Please ask questions if you need more information.
