Lyn has made presentations to groups like Rotary, Lions, Probus, University of the Third Age (U3A), Red Cross as well as spoken to the Rural Women's Gathering on doll care.
Lyn researched and edited the book The Perfect Score: the first 20 years of the Diamond Valley Archers. This is an historical account of the formation and development of the leading archery club in the outer northern Melbourne suburb of Yan Yean.
Lyn was instrumental in Goolwa becoming the first town in Australia, and the first outside Europe, to be accredited as Cittaslow - or slow town. In 2017, as part of the town's 10th anniversary of accreditation, both Lyn and her husband John were granted Life Membership of Cittaslow Goolwa.
Lyn is involved with Goolwa Tourism 5214 which promotes Goolwa as a great destination for tourists.
