River
Dolls of Goolwa has
been recognised by the American doll magazine DOLL READER.
See
details. River
Dolls of Goolwa
was awarded the Fleurieu
Peninsula 2001 Tourism
Award
for best new tourism development. Come and see for
yourself! We
are delighted to announce that we have added a large dolls
house to our display. Hundreds of hours of work went into
the construction of the stunning building which was lovingly
built in 1981 by Mr Keith Botten and furnished by his wife,
Dawn. After
the success of our Royal Display we now have a collection of
FASHION
DOLLS
on display. DON'T MISS IT! You
can enjoy One
Child's Collection
which is now part of our range of displays. It represents
the dolls owned by a little girl growing up in Australia
during the late1950s and early 1960s. In
the picture on the right, with Hon. Dean Brown (then Member
for Finnis) cutting our birthday cake, you can see part of
the spectacular 12 metre long River Dolls of Goolwa
mural painted by local artist, James Stewart.
River
Dolls of Goolwa Doll Gallery opened in November 1999. As well as
viewing a huge display of dolls, model cars and trains, puppets and
other childhood memorabilia, you can visit our shop to purchase the
